Participation in a Philosophical and Psychological Dialogue Meeting

On 24 September 2026, members of the “Psychologist” Scientific Club and students majoring in Psychology at the Odesa Institute of IAPM took part in a philosophical and psychological dialogue meeting entitled “In Search of Self: The Art of Self-Determination in a Changing World”, organized by the “ORDO AMORIS” Student Club. The meeting was moderated by Natalia UMEROVA, a third-year student and head of the “Ordo Amoris” Psychology Club.
The invited speaker was Larysa Abyzova, PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy and Professional Ethics of Donbas State Pedagogical University. She encouraged the participants to explore the issue of self-determination through the perspectives of philosophy and psychology, combining theoretical ideas with reflections on contemporary life challenges.
A distinctive feature of the event was its interactive format. In addition to the informative lecture, an open dialogue took place, during which students asked questions, shared their views, reflected on their personal experiences, and jointly sought answers to important existential questions.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of openness, mutual respect, and genuine interest. It provided a space for deep reflection and inspiration, as well as for understanding that the search for oneself is a continuous process that helps people find inner sources of strength even in times of uncertainty.
