Round table and Shevchenko readings in honor of the birthday of T.G. Shevchenko

On March 11, 2025, the scientific community and students of the Odesa Institute of the MAUP celebrated the birthday of Veliky Kobzar, holding the annual Round Table and Shevchenko readings. The event brought together teachers, students and all admirers of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko's work, providing an opportunity to explore his literary and artistic heritage more deeply.
The event was opened by L.F. Dombrovska, candidate of history, associate professor, MKA professor, and O.I. Dombrovskyi, candidate of history, associate professor, MKA professor, who in their opening remarks emphasized the significance of the figure of Shevchenko for Ukrainian culture and history. The poet's life path and contribution to the formation of Ukrainian national consciousness were highlighted.
The speeches of the speakers deepened the understanding of various aspects of Shevchenko's work: students of the 1st year of the Law specialty Mandazhi Karina - "Patriotic motives in the work of T.G. Shevchenko", Ilya Slyusarenko - "The relevance of T. Shevchenko's words "Fight - overcome!"", Alina Purovets - "Historical motifs in the works of Veliky Kobzar", Gray Maxim - "T.G. Shevchenko is an outstanding Ukrainian artist", Yana Plyatsko - "Military Service of T. Shevchenko" and master's degree in Psychology Bocharov Yana - "Image of Ukraine in the works of T. Shevchenko".
Each performance was accompanied by an active discussion, which proved the relevance of Shevchenko's legacy and its importance for modern Ukraine.
The event took place in a warm, inspiring atmosphere, emphasizing that Shevchenko's work remains alive and important for Ukrainians. 
The round table and Shevchenko readings became another confirmation that the words of the outstanding poet continue to resonate through the ages, uniting generations in the struggle for freedom and justice.
