Student scientific club "Psychologist" held a meeting on the topic "Immortality of the soul: a comparative analysis in philosophy, religious studies and psychology"
On March 31, 2025, within the framework of the work of the student scientific club "Psychologist", a scientific meeting was held, dedicated to a deep and interdisciplinary topic - "Immortality of the soul: a comparative analysis in philosophy, religious studies and psychology." Anastasiya Lupova, a master's student majoring in Psychology, delivered a thorough report.
The participants of the event - students of 1-4 courses and teachers of departments - had the opportunity to join the discussion of philosophical, religious and psychological ideas about the nature of the soul and its immortality. The comparative analysis covered such aspects as classical philosophical concepts, religious worldview approaches (especially in Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism), as well as modern psychological views on belief in immortality as a mechanism to overcome the fear of death and maintain inner balance.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of scientific dialogue: the participants exchanged opinions, asked questions, gave examples from personal experience and scientific literature. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of an interdisciplinary approach when studying such deep questions as the meaning of life, death and the soul.
The event once again confirmed the interest of young people in philosophical and psychological topics and contributed to the development of critical thinking and worldview culture of students.
We thank our speaker and everyone present for a wonderful and useful meeting!
